North Metropolitan Radiology Associates, LLP, (NMRA) is a contracted physician service providing radiology reading and interpretation services for our patients. Patients will receive a separate bill from NMRA. NMRA accepts most major managed care payers. NMRA can be reached at 1-855-206-4923.

Insurance Pre-Certification
Most insurance companies require pre-certification of non-emergency services. This is usually the responsibility of the patient and their physician. Failure to obtain pre-certification could result in non-payment of the hospital bill by the insurance company. At the time of registration, patients are requested to assign insurance benefits to the hospital. Patients who wish to bill their own insurance will be required to pay for these services during the registration process.

Pre-certification must be received prior to the scheduled test being performed. GMC offers a pre-certification service for MRI and CT procedures. To enroll in this service, physician offices must receive training and a specialized order form. For more information, contact the Physician Relations Department at 678-312-5344. This service is not available for the general public. Please contact your physician office for pre-certification.

Uninsured Patients
Uninsured patients are eligible to receive a prompt pay discount of up to 40% of charges if payment is made within 30 days of bill receipt. Gwinnett Medical Center accepts cash, check, credit cards and debit cards. The 40% discount does not apply to all services.

For price estimates, call the price estimation line at 678-312-4212. Due to the time and research required to provide estimates, we ask all callers to leave a message. When leaving your message, please be sure to let us know if the patient is uninsured.

Should financial hardships prohibit acceptable payments or payment arrangements, financial counselors are available to assist you with our financial assistance program. Call 678-312-4406 to apply for financial assistance.
